Alphabet Letter T Is For Tractor Craft!

Alphabet Letter T is for Tractor! This Letter T craft is simple and fun for kids to make, and a great way to practice the Letter T sound.

The Letter T song for kids is a nice complement to this super fun kids alphabet craft activity.

Craft supplies you will need:

  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Glue
  • Letter T Template

Craft instructions:

Print the letter T template on red construction paper.

Have the children cut out the letter T from the red construction paper.

Next, have the children draw and cut out 2 large circles from black construction paper.  These will be the tractor’s wheels.

Then, have the children draw and cut out 2 small circles from yellow construction paper.  These will be the tractor’s hub caps.

After that, have the children draw and cut out an even smaller circle from yellow construction paper.  This will be the tractor’s steering wheel.

And, lastly, have the children draw and cut out a small rod shape from green construction paper.  This will be the tractor’s windshield.

Now, it’s time to put our Tractor together!

First, have the children glue the Alphabet Letter T on blue construction paper.

Next, have the children glue the tractor’s wheels to the bottom of the letter T.

Then, have the children glue the hub caps to the tractor’s wheels.

After that, have the children glue the windshield on the Letter T and the steering wheel inside the windshield.

And, voila, the children have now made an Alphabet Letter T is for Tractor craft!  Just the perfect hands-on learning activity for teaching letter T or a Transportation theme unit!

Alphabet Letter R Is For Rain Craft!

Alphabet Letter R is for Rain. This Alphabet Letter R craft is easy and fun for kids to make, and is a great way to introduce Alphabet Letter R to children.  It’s also a perfect craft for a Weather theme unit too!  All you need is construction paper, cotton balls, a little paint and glue.

Letter R song for kids is the perfect complement to this super fun kids Alphabet craft activity!

So, what are you waiting for?  Let’s craft with Letter R!

Craft supplies you will need:

  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Grey paint
  • Paint brush
  • Cotton balls
  • Letter R template

Craft instructions:

Print off the Alphabet Letter R template on construction paper.


Next, have the children cut out the Letter R from the construction paper.

Then, have the children glue the Letter R on a different color sheet of construction paper.

After that, have the children apply glue to the Letter R and stick on the cotton balls, forming a cloud shape

Let dry.

Once done, have the children draw and cut out rain drops from blue construction paper.

Using glue, have the children paste on the rain drops underneath the clouds, making it look like the rain drops are falling from the cloud.

Using a small amount of grey paint, have the children dab it onto the cotton balls to make the cloud resemble a storm cloud.

Let dry.

And, voila, the children have now made a Letter R Is For Rain craft.  This Letter R craft should help make alphabet learning fun for children!

My Family Tree Craft For Kids!

A Family Tree craft for kids!  Not only is this Apple Family Tree craft a ton of fun for kids to make, it’s also just perfect for a Family theme unit.  What a great way to remind children how special and unique they are!

Craft items you will need:

  • Apple Template
  • White card stock
  • White piece of paper
  • Brown construction paper
  • Green paint
  • Paper plate
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Crayons and markers

Craft instructions:

Print the apple template on white paper.

Using crayons or markers, have the children color in the apples – one for each family member.

Next, have the children write the names of their family members.

Then, have the children cut out all the apples.

Once done, have the children draw and cut out a tree trunk from brown construction paper.

After that, pour a little green paint on a paper plate and have the children rub the paint all over their hands.  Then, have the children place their hand prints all over the top of the tree trunk, making leaves.

When dry, have the children glue the apples on the My Family Tree.

Lastly, using a marker, have the children write My Family Tree on a strip of paper and glue it to the Family Tree.

And, voila, the children have now made a My Family Tree!  What a fun craft for kids to make with apples and paint.  Just perfect for a Family theme unit!

Craft items you will need:

  • Craft paper
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • Marker
  • Crayons
  • Wool
  • Scotch tape

Craft instructions:

Draw a coconut tree and print off on craft paper.

Next, cut the coconut tree out from the craft paper and punch holes in the center of the tree trunk.   Our tree went from A to C.  Feel free to make the tree bigger and add more letters.

Then, using scotch tape, wrap the tape around the end of the wool, making it resemble a shoe lace.

When ready, have the children thread their piece of wool through the alphabet holes.

Once done, help the children tie a knot off the end of the wool.

Lastly, using crayons, have the children color in the coconut tree.

And, voila, the children have now made a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Lacing Tree! This Lacing Tree craft is a lot of fun for kids and a really great way to build children’s fine motor skills.

Craft supplies you will need:

  • Blue construction paper or Blue card stock
  • Brown, Green, Yellow, Red and Orange construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Craft instructions:

Have the children trace their hands 2 times on the green construction paper.

Next, have the children cut out their 4 handprints.

Then, have the children draw and cut out a tree trunk from brown construction paper.

After that, have the children draw small circles on yellow, red and orange construction paper.

You want them to draw about 20- 30 circles.

Once done, have the children cut out all the circles.  The circles will be the apples.

Now, it’s time to assemble the Apple tree!

Using glue, have the children paste the tree trunk onto blue construction paper.

On top of of tree trunk, have the children glue on the 4 handprints.  These will be the tree’s branches and leaves.

Lastly, have the children glue the apples all over the tree’s branches and leaves.

And, voila, the children have now made a Johnny Appleseed Handprint Apple Tree!  Johnny Appleseed would get such a kick out of this fun craft for kids!

Alphabet Letter H Is For Handprints Craft!

The Letter H song for kids is the perfect complement to this super fun kids Alphabet craft activity!

Craft supplies you will need:

  • White paint (tempera or washable)
  • Tray for paint
  • Popsicle stick
  • Construction paper in any 6 colors besides white
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Alphabet Letter H template

So what are you waiting of? Let’s make the Letter H for Handprints craft with the kids!

Craft instructions:

Have the children fold five sheets of construction paper into quarters.

Next, have the children unfold the construction paper and cut out four rectangles. You should end up with 20 rectangles; 5 rectangles per child.

Then, pour white paint into the tray, using a Popsicle stick to flatten the paint into a thin layer.

Once done, have the children place their hand into the paint, pressing down to get a good coating.

Then, have the children press their handprint onto one of the rectangles.  Repeat the process for the remaining rectangles.

While the handprints are drying, print off the Alphabet Letter H template and have the children cut it out.

Using the Letter H template, have the children trace and cut it out from a piece of construction paper.

When the handprints are dry, have the children cut the handprints out.

After that, have the children glue their handprints onto the Letter H.

And, voila, the children now have a Alphabet Letter H Handprint craft!

Labor Day We Love Our Teacher Craft!


Celebrate Labor Day and teachers with an We Love Our Teacher rice card craft! It’s such a great way for kids to honor and give thanks to their teachers on Labor Day!

Craft items you will need:

  • Poster board
  • Scissors
  • Black and brown markers
  • Glue
  • 4 Magnet strips
  • Rice
  • Red and Green food coloring
  • Zip lock baggies
  • Paper plate

Craft instructions:

Have the children place 4 magnet strips on each corner of a color poster board.

Next, have the children take a sheet of white poster board, cut it to fit on top of the color poster board, and glue it on.

Then, have them draw the outline of an apple with a stem and a leaf and color the stem brown.

Once done, have the children take a 1/4 cup of rice and place it in a bag with a couple of drops of red food coloring.

After that, have them take 1 tbsp of rice and add a tiny drop of green food coloring to it.

Let the rice dry.

When dry, have the children spread a lot of glue over the apple and pour red rice all over it. Pat down to make sure the rice sticks.

Then, have them place glue on the leaf and pour green rice all over the leaf. Pat down and remove excess rice.

Lastly, cut out a header for the top of the card and paste it on. On the header, have the children write a special message like “WE LOVE OUR TEACHERS” or “TEACHERS ROCK!”


And voila! The children have made a We Love Our Teacher rice card craft for Labor Day!

Here’s a fun craft for kids to make and a great way to show Grandpa how very much he is loved on his special day!

  • Paper plate
  • Wool
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Markers
  • Glue
  • Construction paper

Craft instructions:

Have the children glue wool to the top of their paper plate. This will be Grandpa’s hair.

Next, using different color markers, have the children draw eyes, nose, mouth and ears onto the paper plate. This will be Grandpa’s face.

Then, encourage the children to accessorize using pipe cleaners and wool.  For our grandpa, we made eyeglasses with the pipe cleaner and a mustache with the wool.

Once done, have the children take a sheet of construction paper and cut it in half, length-wise.

Have the children taper the ends of the construction paper, so it resembles arms and hands.

After that, have the children create an accordion fold with the construction paper.

Lastly, have the children tape the widest part of the arms behind the paper plate.

And, voila, the children have now made A Hug For Grandpa! It’s the perfect craft to present to Grandpa on Grandparents Day!

We’ve come up with 2 options for this super fun Hunt and Snack Time activity:

    1. Prepare or buy a batch of Gingerbread Man cookies ahead of time, and, after reading the book, take the kids on a Gingerbread Man hunt. A cookie hunt is a great way for kids to get familiar with all the places in their school and with the school staff.  Then, when the Gingerbread Man hunt is over, all the children get their very own cookie!
    2. Similar to the above-mentioned option, prepare the Gingerbread Man cookies ahead of time, but allow the children to each decorate their very own cookie! This seems like the MOST fun activity to do with the kids!

And voila! The kids have their very own Gingerbread Man cookies! What can be more fun than eating super yummy Gingerbread Man cookies in the classroom together!

  • 3 inch construction paper rectangles in assorted colors for beak, feathers and eyes
  • Alphabet Letter B template
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Craft instructions:

Print out the Letter B template.

Have the children cut out the Alphabet Letter B.

Next, have them trace the Alphabet Letter onto a sheet of construction paper.

Then, have the children cut out the Alphabet Letter B from the construction paper.

Once done, have the children cut out feather shapes from the 3 inch construction rectangles.

After that, have the children glue the feathers on the bird.

Then, have the children cut out and glue on the eyes and beak.

Lastly, punch holes on top for easy hanging.

And, voila, the children now have a Feathery Bird for their Letter B Alphabet craft!

First Day Of School Fruit Salad Activity and Song

First Day Of School Friendship Salad Activity!


First Day Of School Friendship Salad Recipe lesson activity is a well-loved classic because it works!  It’s a fun activity that teaches children the rules of the classroom, manners and how to be a good friend and helper.

First Day Jitters written by Julie Danneberg is a wonderful book to read to the children on the first day of school. And, there are so many great activities that go with the book, like this First Day of School Friendship fruit salad activity!

The More We Get Together song for kids is the perfect complement to this super fun kids first day of school Friendship Salad lesson activity.

So, follow along and let’s get started!

Cooking ingredients you will need:

  • Large bowl
  • Mixing spoon
  • Small bowls and spoons for kids
  • 1 jar of Mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 can of pineapple, drained
  • 1 can of mixed fruit, drained
  • Mini-marshmallows
  • Yogurt
  • 1 very old and rotten banana

Cooking directions:

Gather the children around.

Start by pointing to the large bowl and explain to them that the large bowl is like our classroom and there are many important ingredients that go into making a classroom needs a fun place to learn.

Add the oranges into the large bowl.  As you add the oranges, tell the kids that the oranges represent the kind students in the classroom.   They are always helpful and follow directions.

Next, add the pineapple pieces to the large bowl.  This time, tell the children, the pineapple pieces represent the the hard-working students in the classroom.  They always try their best and get their work done.

Then, add in the mixed fruit.   Explain to the children that the mixed fruit represent the students that share.  They always work well with others and share their toys and school/classroom supplies.

When ready, add the yogurt to the large bowl.  Tell the children that the yogurt is sweet and represents the happy days we will have in class together. Ask the children if the class you described sounds good to them.

After that, add the marshmallows to the large bowl.  The marshmallows represent the kind words that are spoken in our classroom. These are the words that make us feel good (like Please, Thank you, I’m Sorry) and make our classroom a happy place.

Lastly, turn to the rotten banana and pretend you are going to add it to the large bowl.   Tell them that the rotten banana represents trouble in the classroom.  Trouble like calling someone a name, refusing to share, not completing school work, etc..  Ask the children if they want the rotten banana in the Friendship Salad.  They will say No!  Finish off by saying good because we don’t want any trouble in our classroom!

And, voila, the children have now learned a valuable lesson what it takes to be a good student and friend in class.  And, the first day of school Friendship Salad makes for a super yummy snack the kids will enjoy!

The Letter G song for kids is the perfect complement to this super fun kids Alphabet letter G craft activity!

Craft items you will need:

  • Alphabet Letter G template
  • Yellow construction Paper
  • Brown Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Black Washable Marker
  • Hole Punch

Craft instructions:

Print out the Alphabet Letter G template.

Next, have the children cut out the Giraffe head and Alphabet Letter G. Now have them glue them both on yellow paper. The giraffe head goes at the top end of the letter G.

Then, have the children draw and cut out circles from brown construction paper. These will be the Giraffe spots!

Once done, have the children glue the Giraffe spots (circles) all over the Alphabet Letter G.

Lastly, using a black marker, have the children draw a face on the giraffe. If you’d like, have the children punch a hold at the top of the Alphabet Letter G is for Giraffe craft and hang it up!

And, voila, the children now have an Alphabet Letter G is for Giraffe craft!

So, what are you waiting for? Let’s make some constellations with the kids!

First, gather your materials. You need black or dark blue paper, some white or yellow chalk and some sticker stars. For a special treat use glow in the dark stars!

Then, have the children draw any picture they want on the paper using the chalk.

Once the picture is finished , have the children add the stars. Don’t forget to have the kids give their constellation a name!


And voila! The children have made their very own our space constellation craft! Just perfect for a preschool or kindergarten space or constellation lesson plan!

Labor Day School Bus Craft For Kids!


Here’s A Labor Day School Bus Craft to celebrate all the community helper school bus drivers for Labor Day! And, we are loving this Egg Carton School Bus craft for kids. 

This Labor Day School Bus craft is a super fun craft for preschoolers or kindergarteners to make for a Labor Day, back-to-school or community helpers theme unit.

The Wheels On The Bus Go Round And Round song for kids is the perfect complement to this super fun kids school craft activity!

So, what are you waiting for?  Grab the kids and egg cartons and let’s craft!

Craft items you will need:

  • Egg carton cut in half
  • Yellow paint
  • Paint brush
  • Black paper
  • Small plastic cup
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Black Marker

Craft instructions:

Cut off the top of egg carton lid.

Next, have the children paint the the egg carton lid yellow.  This is our School Bus.

Let dry

While the paint is drying, have the children trace a small plastic cup, 4 times, onto the black paper.     These will be the tires for the School Bus.

Then, have the children draw and cut out a small rectangle.  This will be the front window on the School Bus.

Once done, have the children glue the tires and front window onto the School Bus.

After that, help the children write SCHOOL BUS on top of the front window.


Lastly, using the black marker, have the children draw in windows on both sides of the School Bus.

And, voila, the children have now made an Egg Carton Labor Day School Bus Craft!

Craft items you will need:

  • Black Poster Board
  • White paper
  • Printable Tools template
  • Crayons
  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Glue
  • Hold punch
  • Twist ties or string

Craft instructions:

Take a black poster board, cut 3 inch strips width-wise, and length-wise go as long as you can.   These will be the tool belts that fit around each child’s waist.

Next, have the children help you punch two holes on either end of the tool belt.

Then,  print out the Tool template on white paper.

Using glue or a stapler, have the children attach the tools to the belt.

Lastly, have the children thread twist ties or string through the holes, made earlier, on the tool belt to secure it around their waist.

And, voila, the children have now made a Builder Tool Belt!   This fun craft is just perfect for a Community Helpers theme unit and pretend play!

We think the Nursery Rhyme 1,2,3,4,5 Once I Caught A Fish Alive craft for kids is a great way to teach counting to toddlers and preschoolers!

Alphabet Letter D is for Dragon Craft for Kids!

We think this Alphabet Letter D Dragon craft is adorable! And, it’s a great way to introduce children to the Letter D!

Dr. Seuss’s ABC: An Amazing Alphabet Book! by Dr. Seuss is a wonderful book to read to children when teaching them the alphabet. And, there are so many fun alphabet letter activities to go along with the book, like this Alphabet Letter D is for Dragon craft!

While the kids are working on their Alphabet Letter Dragon craft, play The Letter D song for kids in the background. Music makes alphabet-learning fun!

So, what are you waiting for? Let’s make an alphabet letter D dragon with the kids!

Craft items you need:

  • Construction paper (green, light green and orange)
  • Googly eyes
  • Tissue paper (red)
  • Scissors
  • Glue

What you do:

Print off the Letter D on green construction paper, for each child.


Direct the children to cut out 5 orange triangles.

These will be the scales.

Once done, have the children glue the orange triangles to the back side of the Letter.

Using the light green construction paper, have the children cut out a small circle.

This will be the dragon’s eye.

Have the children glue the small green circle at the top (right) of the Letter D.

Next, have the children glue the googly eye on top of the small green circle.

Then, have the children cut out a small strip from the red tissue paper.

This will be the dragon’s fire.

Have the children take the small red strip and fold it in half, crinkle it a bit and then glue it to the Letter D, just below the eye (where a mouth would go).

And, voila, the children now have a Letter D Fire Breathing Dragon!
